Wandering around Kauai was pretty hectic and exhausting. It was time to recharge my batteries. I didn’t have any plans for Day 5, which gave me an opportunity to be spontaneous and let the day unfold. I slept-in being a slob for most of the morning and wondering about what I wanted to do. Of course I got hungry and I went back to Wailana Coffee House, while was I still figuring it out. I was thinking about my options and one was to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay but it turned out that the park was closed for repairs. Another option was to go to North Shore to watch “The Eddie Aikau big wave” surfing competition but that place was jam packed and I didn’t want to be in the mass. What to do? Where to go? Google please rescue me and voilà … Para Sailing. I was excited about it as it would be my first time doing it. Indeed, it was a beautiful experience as I was able to get bird’s eye view of Waikiki beach from 500 feet and there was a weird kind of solace up there.
Our instructor told us that you might be able to get a glimpse of a whale as it was whale migration season. But hard luck, no whale for me. After two hours on the water, the sun was getting to me. So I went back to my hotel. If you are in Hawaii, you’ll always have endless options to eat. For Dinner I ended up at a restaurant named “House without a Key” … funny name but OMG that place was top-notch. Live music, hula dancers, beach side seating, outstanding service seriously made my night. My favourite take from that restaurant was their Chocolate Mousse. It was rich and dreamy. After Dinner I wandered through the streets of Waikiki and I stumbled upon a gallery of the renowned photographer “Peter Lik”. His collection was really exquisite, interestingly and obviously expensive. All in all it was another fine day in Hawaii.
